Five Eighths Of An Inch
Ane Inch. The basic unit of measurement of measurement for dollhouses
This is the inch symbol "
One half inch (1/ii")
There are two halfs in one inch (ane/ii + i/two = 1)
Find the measurement that woould be iii 1/ii" (three and i half inches)
Ane quarter inch (one/4")
There are four quarters in i inch (i/4 + 1/four + 1/4 + one/4 = ane")
There are two quarters in one one-half inch (1/4 + one/iv = one/two)
Encounter iii 3/4"? (three and iii quarters")... find 3 ane/4"
Eighths of an inch (1/8") In that location are eight of them between each inch mark.
Notice that the 1/iv" marks (2 eighths) and the 1/2" marks (4 eighths) are longer, but they are still counted when counting the spaces for eighths
See 3 5/eight"? (3 and v eighths)... detect 4 3/8"
Sixteenths of an inch. At that place are 16 of them between each marking
sixteen/16 = one inch
Once again detect that you count all of the longer marks. Each step of the way, y'all count the marks for that fraction and the longer marks, but non the shorter marks
Where is iii 15/16? [hint: three 16/16 = four", so 3 fifteen/16 is 1/16 less than four]
Thirtyseconds of an inch - now that's small, only some rulers show them
Each ane/16" mark stands for two 1/32" and then 7/32 is the same every bit
3 and one half 1/xvi" spaces (ii + two + 2 + i)
A measurement of 19/32 would be the aforementioned every bit
nine and one half 1/16" spaces
which is the same as one/ii" + 1/16" + half of ane/sixteen"... can you find it?
